Experienced Carpenter Job Description
AM Display/ EdgeWorks is an architectural millwork company based in Hillside, NJ and specializes in high-end cabinet upholstery and woodworking. We currently have an opportunity for cabinet makers/ millworkers to join our team. This position will create, manufacture, and assemble several types of cabinets, kitchens, countertops and other millwork related projects.
Job requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Experience in custom cabinets, kitchens, bathrooms, reception desks, die wall structures, laminating sheets using HPL and other laminate sheets/veneers.
Creating panels and countertops using solid surface material and/ plywood, building drawer boxes.
Knowledgeable in cabinet hardware (drawer slides, hinges, and working with basic hand tools and power tools).
Thorough understanding and reading blueprints/ shop drawings.
The following skills are optional, but highly preferred:
Operating machines such as beam/ panel saw by Homag, vertical drilling machine by Weeke, edgebander by Holzher.
Knowledgeable in finish carpentry.
Osha Construction certification.
Operating a forklift.
Job Type: Full-Time 40-48.
Experience: Minimum of 2+ years millwork experience.
Education: High school degree or equivalent, and higher (Preferred).
Work Location: On-site location.
Work Remotely: No.
Salary: $18 – $25 per hour, salary negotiation based on experience.
