Job Description

(Traveling) FINISH CARPENTER

Prusak’s Precision Construction is a national fixture and millwork installation company. We are seeking finish carpenters to work with our traveling installation crews. Our ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 years of finish carpentry experience and works well with others. Experience working with solid surfaces is a plus. Typical workweeks in the shop range from 45-70 hours. Typical work weeks while traveling range from 60-84 hours. Hourly wages are based on experience.

Our requirements for a finish carpenter are as follows:
Only the highest quality craftsmanship is acceptable.
Must be able to read and comprehend blueprints, sketches, building plans, and other specifications.
Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision.
Must be able to stand for up to 10 or 12 hours a day, bend, stoop and safely lift 75 lbs.
Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
Must have a strong commitment to job site safety. OSHA 10 or 30, scissor lift and first response certificate is a plus.
Must have and maintain a clean driving record. A motor vehicle report (MVR) will be run on all potential hires and will be randomly revisited throughout employment.
Must be and remain drug-free at all times. Pre-employment drug screening is a standard procedure for all potential hires. Ongoing random drug screening may be conducted throughout employment.
Must have and maintain hand tools (list provided upon request).
