Responsibilities:
The Carpenter Locksmith EH installs, replaces and maintains lock sets including keyed, combination and electronic locks; produces and duplicates keys for doors, lockers, cabinets, desks, panels, etc.; creates key storage areas for campus keys; and performs door hardware replacements/repairs, door replacements/repairs, other light carpentry duties, and other appropriate duties as assigned by Facilities leadership.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Experience:
5 years of experience in locksmith trades required.
Carpentry experience required.
Skills:
Working knowledge of various master locking systems (including computerized master key/lock systems) and methods of key cutting and duplication required.
Ability to use various carpentry tools.
Knowledge of National Fire Protection (NFPA) and International Facilities Guidelines (IFG) codes and ability to comply.
Ability to identify and respond appropriately to hazardous materials.
Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Current valid applicable state driver’s license and a driving record that meets insurance carrier requirements required.
