Annual Compensation Range ($USD): 72,372.00 – 80,414.00

A Brief Overview
The carpenter under the supervision of the Carpenter Foreman performs skilled carpentry work at Detroit Metro and Willow Run Airports

What you will do
Performs skilled carpentry (rough and finish) work in the alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, and partitions/walls, doors, and windows
Designs, measures, constructs and/or maintains doors, windows, hardware, cabinets, benches and other wooden equipment and furnishings
Constructs forms for pavement projects in public and restricted access areas
Operates power tools associated with the carpentry trade, including, but not limited to: power saws, planes, drills, sanders, table saw and other standard power equipment
Installs and assembles signs, cubicles, furniture, etc. and erects scaffolding
Performs routine housekeeping and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Certificate of High School Equivalency
5 or more years full time paid experience performing skilled carpentry (rough and finish) work in the creation, alteration, repair and maintenance of buildings, floors, roofs, stairways, and partitions, doors, and windows; as well as, cabinets, benches and other wooden equipment and furnishings. Or completed a Carpenter apprenticeship program
Have Basic Computer Skills
ST of MI Driver License
